Okay, so I’m having an anxiety attack. Seriously, I’ve been so nervous to pick. I’ve been entirely too excited to see who wins but entirely too bummed for those who didn’t. The stories. The kindness. Testimonials of overcoming cancer. An autistic child scoring a touchdown at a high school football game. Families who have never had a professional photo taken. Mothers who don’t feel beautiful. Parents who have lost jobs and simply needed a boost. An economy that has slapped many in the face. Wives of military men. New mothers, proud fathers, and up and coming musicians. Dear friends who have shared the love, and new friends of the site that I want to love. Each night, I would share your words with my husband. It has been an overwhelming few days of reading and sharing each of your comments of humor, struggle, and amazing support to not just me, but to your friends that asked for your help in this crazy competition. You, my friends, know just what to do to make a pregnant girl weep with happiness. There truly is nothing greater……than giving.
Every time you commented on our site or on the facebook page, your name would pop up on my phone. Whether I was bathing a child, or sitting at a stop light, I wrote down your name on a notepad from my purse. There were way too many easier ways of doing this, but….who cares. I enjoyed every minute of it.) First thing this morning, I pulled out the papers, and my daughter and I started our “craft time”.
We took the thousands of names….cut ‘em out. Ya, it took a while…especially when working with a 4-year-old.
We didn’t use a hat….we didn’t want names to get stuck in creases. So we used my daughter’s bucket.
“Okay, Mom….noooooooooo peaking!!!!”
“Here I go!!!”
“This person won, mom!! This person won!”
Congrats Miss Ashley Hull! Wherever you might be! Send me an email and remind me what type of session you prefer and we’ll get it scheduled. Can’t wait to meet you! For the rest of you, I assure you…I WILL do this again. With the upcoming holiday seasons, I feel I have way more to give. I promise you that.
